  1. Teaching Matters educational technology consultants help teachers prepare students for success by emphasizing 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.

We offer a professional development model comprised of on-site coaching and off-site teacher institutes, directed at helping educators redesign their instruction, engage their students and improve student outcomes.

Phase 1: Needs Assessment and Instructional Planning

Examining desired student outcomes and existing curricula, teacher and consultant develop a problem- or inquiry-based learning experience that allows students to learn and apply academic content and skills to real situations. They also develop alternative assessments designed to capture more complex learning.

    Phase 2: In-Class Coaching

Teacher and consultant set individual goals to improve practice in one or more of the following critical areas: instruction, use of new technology, classroom management, and alternative assessment strategies.

    Phase 3: Reflection and Revision

Teacher and consultant collaboratively review student work and/or video clips of classroom teaching to assess how change in practice has achieved desired outcomes.

  6. The growing use of technology..particularly computers,in instruction has placed a whole new set of demands on the construction, maintenance, and modernization of school facilities. Although technology in schools is a much broader concept than simply the use of computers, it is computers that are most frequently thought of in discussions of educational technology today. Schools face problems with acquiring adequate numbers of computers, replacing them on a regular and frequent basis, providing the electrical power to operate them in each classroom, and providing and maintaining the wiring infrastructure needed to keep them connected with the school and across the district and the community more generally.
Therefore..the government must imply an educational planning in schools in regards to this matter..

  7. Previous research on computer games has tended to concentrate on their more negative effects like addiction, increased aggression. This study departs from the traditional clinical and social learning explanations for these behavioral phenomena and examines the effect of personality, in-game reinforcement characteristics, gender, and skill on the emotional state of the game-player. Results demonstrated that in-game reinforcement characteristics and skill significantly affect a number of affective measures (most notably excitement and frustration).the implications of game play on affect are discussed with reference to the concepts of "addiction" and "aggression".

  9. Singapore, being one of those industrialized first world country has a great economic stability when it comes to educational technology advancement and therefore, this constancy will bring disparity in improving their technological advancement.

Disparity in educational technology advancement in industrialized countries and countries that are still developing comes down to one thing: Money. Or rather, either the surfeit of it, or the lack of it. Most western schools have computers and teaching aids based on technology that are sufficient for the pupils' needs, whereas schools in developing schools do not.

This disparity can actually be seen in industrialized countries in schools that are better funded than others and there is always an outcry about the negative impact this has on the children who are not receiving the education that those from better off schools have; and also on the advantages that the pupils from richer schools have.

This disparity is magnified many times when it comes to the educational technology advancements made by those industrialized countries compared to the poorer developing ones. Lack of money has a direct result on educational resources and the impact is great. Naturally, there are some people in developing countries who are wealthier than the average and they have an education that corresponds with that wealth, but in the main it means that the population of poorer countries (and therefore the county itself) is unable to compete in a global economy, because it follows that if a poorer education is given at school level, very few, if any, of those pupils will be able to take advantage of further and higher education.

The consequences mean that standards of living are lower, life spans are affected and the cycle continues. Social expectations of people from these countries becomes stereotypical because lack of an equal education means that only low paid jobs, if any, can be got and an unequal hierarchy develops.

First of all, it's important to understand exactly what this question is asking, as it is quite a complex question filled with jargon. The term disparity refers to inequality or unfairness, while educational technology advancement simply refers to the level and quality of technology available for students to assist in their studies.

In the Philippines, technology is still not particularly prominent, although it plays a major role in education in other Asian countries. While higher education institutes such as universities offer specialized courses in computing, there is less influence in elementary education, and education of younger students. The minor role of computing and information technology in the educational system of the Philippines is demonstrated by the influence of figures such as William Padolina. Padolina was expressing concerns about the importance of technology, and the lack of the technology in the Philippines, as early as 1996 at the International Conference on the Development of Information Infrastructure. He is a passionate advocate of the use of technology in all walks of life in the Philippines, and especially in education.

  10. Educational Technology 2

 Concerned with Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning.
 Focused on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of educational technology.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES
 To acquaint students on Information Technology or IT related learning theories with the computer as a tutor
 To learn to use and evaluate computer-based educational resources

 To engage learners on practical technology integration issues including managing IT classrooms, use of the Internet for learning, cooperative learning through the use of information technology, etc.
 To inculcate higher-level thinking and creativity among students while providing them knowledge of IT-related learning theories.

While the course is primarily intended for the use of student-teachers, it can also be of great use to professional teachers, school administrators, teacher educators and in fact anyone who is interested on how Information Technology can be used to improve not only instruction but the school management program and curriculum. It may be said too, that the study of this course on integrating Information Technology in instruction should not be considered as a formidable task, but rather as a refreshing and exciting study given the idea that all learning should be fun.

The term disparity refers to inequality or unfairness, while educational technology advancement simply refers to the level and quality of technology available for students to assist in their studies. As a result, an answer to this question would require a comparison between a country such as America, and the Philippines, in order to understand the differences between the technologies available within the field of education.

In the Philippines, technology is still not particularly prominent, although it plays a major role in education in other Asian countries. 14. I propose that there must have enough budget for those schools who have an IT education so that those student in IT education are more knowledgeable and their skills enhance more. Enough equipment also in order the student to know everything on it and because of the support of our government those student in IT education are capable to compete effectively to those country who also have an IT education.
I propose also that in every schools there must have a computer so that they have another source of information.

It uses contactless microchip technology that allows the information stored on the chip to be read by special chip readers at a close distance.

It contains an integrated photograph of the holder, a digitized secondary photo, and an electronic print of the holder’s signature.

It contains overt and hidden security features such as Invisible Personal Information (IPI), letterscreen, microprinting, and UV reactive ink, among others.

We students are very noticeable to use this gadget even inside the class, This gadget change the culture of every Filipino Citizens and youths. 17. The Philippines as one of those third world countries is somehow lacking when it comes to various educational media that are used in the teaching and learning process. This weakness should serve as a challenge not only to the Phillippine government but more importantly, to those Filipinos especially teachers who are concerned in sacrificing more efforts when it comes to educational technology advancement because i believe that "what cause of these updated and advance technologies if the teachers themselves are not effective and efficient enough in delivering the lesson practically" :)

  18. Due to the lack resources in our rural areas in the Philippines, the media that can still be used for effective learning in schools is radio;

In some rural areas in the Philippines especially in some schools they need some media that can be used for their effective learning in schools but there is a media that can still be used in effective learning in schools.

Radio is a traditional media used commonly in such rural areas. This media is used in communicating, learning, and helping us to imagine things. Radio is a media that can still be used in some rural areas in the Philippines.

The advantages of radio are it can help to communicate the others listening to the news so that we can know about what happen and we can also learn through radio and it can help students to their projects, assignments, or even reports. In some less fortunate radio is a media that can help rural people to enhance theirselves.

  19. Australia, one of the most developed country all over the world in terms of their high technology that they're using in education. They belong to industrialized first world country because of their technologies. Their government spend a lot of fund and budget for their education. So that's why they are one of the most improved country all over the world. They get their full support to the government to improve and enhance their education. I can say that there is a high degree of difference in ed.tech advancement in school like Australia compared to the Philippines that still now are left behind in terms of technologies that they are using. Our government should spend more and enough fund for our education for us to cope up also the development of our IT. We are lack of high technology that will help us to be more competent to other industrialized country like Australia.

  20. The benefits of texting can be reduced to one primary reasoning: convenience. While one is texting, their attention is only diverted on 'N' off. All transferred information is easily reread through a simple scrolling action, eliminating the need for a pencil and paper or a particularly good memory. It is important to realize that most technological advances today are motivated by convenience; whether or not it relieves a real (or perceived) hardship heavily influences the marketability of a new technology. Texting can be seen as a form of voice mail in that it is -in a sense- a recording of someones message although it is in text format rather than audio. Because of this, a text can be sent to someone who does not have their phone with them, but that forgetful person will inevitably receive that text as soon as they check their messages.

The disadvantage of all this texting, according to those not of my generation, is that kids are not gaining the social skills they would normally develop if they did not text so often. A rebuttal to this would be that texting is rapidly becoming an integral part of the flow of information in society and that it is, in fact, in itself a social skill. It is somewhat frightening to see a table with a group of high school students staring at their phones and not each other though.

  21. `In this new generation it is important to communicate others by using different communication devices. Not only to court,But to utilize the importance events in our daily life. One of the popular communication ways is called cellphone texting, it is common to use not only in our nation but in international community also. Cellphone usage is to communicate other peoples in different places,Through text or call. For me not only cellphone Texting is enough to the for information skills literacy for our citizens and youth. In our modern world there so many ways and devices that can help to elaborate more information and other details. One of example is the computer information,That we are already know,The appropriate devices to assimilate information in order to know what the answer is?
In this modern generation the revision of the communication devices can affect the information literacy of our citizen either youth or old. The main goal is to lesser the work of the people and to gain more information in order to expound the learning in our environment.

  23. It offers students a place in the library where they can collaborate on multimedia projects in groups without disturbing others. The room is outfitted with furniture that can be easily rearranged to accommodate a single person, pairs, or a large group. White boards on wheels allow students to brainstorm anywhere in the room. Many technology researchers are fast forwarding to the time of singularity, the merger of the human and machine in startling ways that could mean the reconfiguration of laws of goverance in many modes of human endeavor and human understanding of what it means to exist.Perhaps such mergers can render the depression and isolation some computer users experience moot once the mergers occur, but until that moment, certain modes of computer use demephasize the importance of direct human interface, an emotional interaction that perhaps partially defines humanity. Relegating direct human interaction to insignificance, eliminating the possibility of tactile or actual intimate encounter, compromising opportunities to read and respond to human gestures that accompany speech and social encounters, can logically be expected to have the abilityt to rob the computer user of some of a sense of and purpose of being human.
